The ministry of Sav-A-Life began in 1992, to assist women who find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy or who feel unprepared to care for a child.  Our hope is that by providing alternatives to abortion (parenting and adoption) and giving appropriate support to families during their time of need, lives will not only be saved from abortion but, most importantly, transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Our hope is to see future generations given a chance to have abundant Life in Him (John 10:10).

We invite you to look around our website and learn more about who we are and what we offer.  You'll find ways to help us out and ways that we help others, too.  You'll also find updates for events and things that have happened here at the Family Hope Center.

More than anything, we covet your prayers!  Ours is a battle for life and death, both spiritually and physically.
Pray Matthew 5:14-16:

"You are the light of the world.  A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

We depend on volunteers to keep this ministry running on a day-to-day basis.  Our most needed position is Client Advocate: one who is trained in how to mentor and interview the clients, help administer pregnancy tests, facilitate the Earn While You Learn classes, and answer the phones.

We also have a myriad of other positions for which we need volunteers:

  • Receptionist

  • Baby Boutique Coordinator

  • Baby Shower Host

  • Church Liason

  • Bottle Drive Coordinator

  • Fundraising/Special Events Coordinator

  • Graphic Designer

  • Men's Ministry Counselor/Mentor

  • Housekeeping Volunteer

If you feel a calling to help us in some way, please seek the Lord's face first and foremost.  If you still desire working with us, please click here to access our Volunteer Application.  Complete it and come see us!  We would love to talk with you further about what you feel your calling is concerning Sav-A-Life!

As a non-profit ministry, Sav-A-Life depends on monthly donations to provide families in our community with the best information and care we can give.  One of the ways in which we do this is through our Baby Bottle Drives, hosted by surrounding churches and organizations.  Every cent counts, which is why we'd like to offer you the opportunity to helpyour church spread awareness about Sav-A-Life's services through a simple fundraiser.  Would you be willing?

If you would like more information on our Baby Bottle Drives, please click here to access our brochure and additional information.  If you would like additional information or are interested in hosting a drive, contact us using the subject line "Baby Bottle Drive."  We look forward to hearing from you!

Ways to Help

Volunteer, Baby Bottle Drive, Booties, Prayer Chain, Prayer Walking

We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit ministry with the mission to reach as many families in our community as possible.  All this takes money.  As we receive no federal funding, we are completely reliant on God's faithful provision.  Would you consider being one of those faithful providers?  You would have the opportunity to know that your precious dollars are helping maintain a building, staff, and resources dedicated to "Sharing Jesus to Save Lives."

We think every new baby needs warm footsies.

That's why, with every positive pregnancy test, we give out a pair of crocheted or knitted baby booties.  It is fun to watch mom-to-be sift through the different styles and colors to pick out the ones that she wants for her child.  Would you conisder helping us out?  Below are some basic patterns, all of which can be altered depending on your level of skill and creativity.  Use old scraps of yarn or fancy types or one color or many colors!  We won't limit you to what you can do!

We have been so blessed by having local church staff come prayer walk the Center on a weekly basis!  The Lord has begun new and fostered already existing relationships, and we have seen Him bless through those.

We'd like to open it up to everyone who would like to come pray through the Center one morning before work or during your lunch break or after work.

If you'd like to schedule a prayer walk, please call us at (334) 222-0644.

We are so blessed at Sav-A-Life to have a monthly prayer chain.  Through it we share praises and requests, needs and goings-on, so that the community knows how to pray.  We also include the requests of chain members.

This is a wonderful way to support us, and if you wish to join in on the praying, call us at (334) 222-0644.

As our director says, "Where would any of us be without prayer?!"
